Improve communication using banners and alerts in Microsoft 365

In this success story, we share how VisualSP helped Culver City employees improve communication using banners and alerts in Microsoft 365.

Let's be honest: keeping your team on the same page can be a challenge.

Emails get lost in inboxes, important announcements slip through the cracks, and miscommunications lead to frustration and delays.

Sound familiar? If so, you're not alone. Many businesses struggle with internal communication breakdowns, leaving employees feeling uninformed and disengaged. But what if there was a way to streamline your communication process, ensuring that everyone gets the message loud and clear?

In this article, we'll share how Culver City was able to get critically important information to their users as they were using SharePoint and Microsoft 365 products.

Culver City's Challenge

Anissa Di Vincente, the Webmaster at Culver City, was having trouble getting people to attend important internal programs and events.

She and her team would invite employees to important events using e-mails and Teams communications. Unfortunately, only a couple of people would show up to the event.

Others would complain they never got the message.

Anissa and her team needed some way to make sure everyone got these important announcements.

The Solution: Improve Communication with Banners and Announcements

Anissa started to use VisualSP's banners and announcements to alert employees of upcoming events.

Users would see these announcements within both SharePoint, as well as several Microsoft 365 applications.

A user would have to dismiss this message in order to proceed to working in the platform. Anissa could even check in VisualSP's analytics to see which users saw the message.

After Anissa's team started using VisualSP to improve communication with banners and announcements, the number of people attending internal events shot up from just a few to over forty participants. By sending alerts directly through the platforms employees were already using, they made sure important messages didn’t get lost.
